Corydoras Similis

• Description: The Smudge-Spot Corydoras (Corydoras similis) is a highly sought-after, premium catfish celebrated for its beautiful violet-grey body and a distinct, dark "smudge" or ink-spot marking right before its tail. They are endlessly active, highly entertaining bottom-dwellers that make fantastic conversational additions to any South American biotope or community aquarium.
• Care Level: Easy to Moderate (Generally hardy, but they require stable water parameters and pristine substrate conditions to thrive long-term).
• Temperament: Peaceful (An incredibly gentle, non-aggressive schooling fish that feels most confident and active when kept in groups of 6 or more).
• Diet: Omnivore (Excellent bottom scavengers that happily consume high-quality sinking catfish pellets, shrimp wafers, flake foods, and routine treats of live or frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp).
• Max Size: 5–6 cm (2–2.5 inches)
• Temp Range: 21°C–27°C (70°F–80°F)
• pH Range: 5.5–7.5 (Prefers soft, slightly acidic to neutral water conditions).
