Maintenance is simple thanks to the dual sponge cartridge system. The sponges can be cleaned alternately, helping preserve beneficial nitrifying bacteria essential for maintaining biological balance in the aquarium.

A specially designed media chamber also helps prevent water from flowing back into the aquarium during maintenance or water changes, helping maintain a more stable environment for aquatic life.
