Tap water may look perfectly clean, but it can contain chlorine, chloramines and other substances that are harmful to fish. API Aqua Essential instantly conditions tap water, helping create safer water for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

It removes chlorine and chloramines and neutralises heavy metals, helping protect fish from the harmful effects of untreated tap water. API Aqua Essential can also be used at a higher dose to remove or detoxify ammonia, nitrite and nitrate when test results show elevated levels.

It is a useful water conditioner to keep on hand whenever you're setting up an aquarium, carrying out a water change or need to quickly treat tap water.

How to use API Aqua Essential

For treating tap water:
Add 5mL per 50 gallons (approximately 189L) of aquarium water.

For ammonia, nitrite and nitrate:
Add 5mL per 10 gallons (approximately 38L) of aquarium water.

Use the dosing cap provided and follow the appropriate dose for what you are treating.

Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
