Controls algae growth and keeps aquarium glass, ornaments and plants clean
API Algaefix Algae Control
Algae is a normal part of aquarium keeping, but when it starts taking over the glass, decorations or plants, it can quickly become a headache. API Algaefix Algae Control is designed to treat and control a range of algae in freshwater aquariums, including green water algae blooms and string or hair algae.
When used as directed, API Algaefix helps control algae growth without harming fish or aquarium plants. Regular weekly doses can also help reduce the amount of algae that builds up, making aquarium maintenance easier.
How to use API Algaefix
For algae treatment, add 1mL per 38L (10 US gallons) of aquarium water.
Repeat the dose every three days until the algae is under control. Remove dead algae by siphoning or scraping it from the aquarium.
Once algae growth is under control, use one dose per week to help maintain control and reduce ongoing aquarium maintenance.
Do not overdose. Always follow the directions on the bottle.
Important
Do not use API Algaefix with freshwater crustaceans, including shrimp, crabs and lobsters.
API Algaefix is intended for freshwater aquariums and will not harm fish or aquarium plants when used as directed.

Wonderworld Tip
Algae control is usually about more than just treating the algae you can see. Lighting, nutrients, feeding and maintenance all play a part too. If you're constantly fighting algae, it's worth looking at what's causing the extra growth rather than relying on an algae treatment alone.
If you're not sure what's causing the algae in your aquarium, bring us a photo or have a chat with the team at Wonderworld Aquarium & Pet Centre. We can help you work through the likely causes.
