As a hardy aquatic plant, Dwarf Sagittaria is fantastic for beginners.
Dwarf Sagittaria is a perennial herb, but not as small as the name may suggest, as it grow to 30 - 40 cm (12 inches) in height. Requires moderate light. Found primarily
growing in brackish water along the seacoast, in marshes and estuaries. Native to the Americas.
Growing can be easier for this plant than others and is one of the few to tolerate high pH and hard-water conditions. But, is especially sensitive to low levels of iron, and any yellowing of the leaves could mean an iron deficiency. Plant in a nutrient-rich substrate or fertilise the water column regularly. Add Seachem Flourish Trace Elements, which is a must for any planted aquarium.
