
The Yellow Canary (Crithagra flaviventris) is a small, vibrant bird in the finch family, known for its distinct yellow plumage. Males typically have a bright yellow underbelly, yellow-green upperparts, and a well-marked face pattern. Females are more muted, with gray-brown upperparts, streaky underparts, yellowish wing feather edges, and a yellow rump. They are typically about 13 cm (5 inches) long.
